Hi, I'm Julie ... artist, photographer, potter, etc. I am so happy you are here! I consider this blog my creative journal where I can share my recent work, ideas and dreams, and lots of little details about my life. Please make yourself at home. Whether you are a bride-to-be, a photographer, or just a visitor, I hope you will find inspiration here and even become a friend. |
Do you remember this gorgeous girl?
Well, she was very anxious to get married ... and now the day has come and passed.
Charlotte Cruze is now Mrs. Charlotte Foster.
And it all began with a rehearsal here at The Square Room in Market Square
I don't photograph a ton of rehearsal dinners but I have to say that it was a joy to be a part of Charlotte and Critter's rehearsal. I was able to observe a very intimate exchange among these two families and their closest friends. So many people got up to share a "toast". It was very emotional and such a special evening. Charlotte and Critter really are surrounded by a very supportive and loving group of people and that was so evident and powerful to me. A moment of prayer over the couple to end the evening:
THe wedding day went over so smoothly with no glitches. Thanks so much to Wedding Planner, Judy Hawk.
The amazing flowers were done by Lisa Foster.

Charlotte and Critter actually chose May 30 for their day and happily that was also Charlotte's parents' anniversary. Happy anniversary Helen and Buddy!
Meanwhile, Critter was looking good and getting ready for his bride.
The guys were very dapper and cooperative in putting this look together:
But this is what they really wanted to do ... and this was WAY more fun!
Don't worry ... we actually used the "toss" bouquet.
And this cutie is Andy ... whose wedding I will be photographing in September:
My favorite moment of the day began here. The bridal room was bustling with all the bridesmaids and some family members who wanted to see Charlotte just before the ceremony ...
Just minutes later the room cleared out as everyone went to their places and Charlotte and her dad had a quiet moment together. He fluffed her train and adjusted her veil so it would be perfect. I observed quietly from the hall and did my best not to cry. I over heard Charlotte and Buddy reminisce about when Char was a little girl ... she always wanted to play wedding day with her dad. Buddy said "We've practiced this a hundred times since you were little and now its the real thing"
And then it was the real thing.
A little word from the bride:
May 30, 2010 was the day I have dreamed about my whole life! As I went through the wedding planning process there were multiple days I thought how do all these details come together, BUT they all came together that beautiful Sunday and exceeded my expectations! Waking up that morning was one of the most surreal feelings I have ever had. Your wedding day, if you are as excited about it as I always have been, always seemed so far away. The time had come and I felt unbelievably calm. I was most excited about putting on my dress and experiencing walking down the aisle with my incredible dad to see Critter! THAT WAS SO FUN! My favorite part of the ceremony was Critters vows he had written for me. UNBELIEVABLE! The rest of the night was just SO FUN! We then headed to the reception in such a fun car to celebrate with people we love! We are so thankful for Julie and her being there all day with us to capture these beautiful pictures from our dream day!
Off to the reception ... which was held at The Foundry
Reception Decor - Nancy Furmaniak with Hunter Valley Farm
The beautiful cake was done by Esther Kant
The reception rocked! Thanks to the band The Smooth Groove
